Salvem CineCiutat!

As always, we hope you and your family and friends are well and safe from the coronavirus.

In times of confinement we see how many things are magnified (yes, like in that famous house). The nice thing is that two of those things are solidarity and the culture consumption and, luckily for us, CineCiutat is the product of both.

In addition to following all the health and distance guidelines to stop the curve, in CineCiutat we also maintain the optimism and the desire to work on the life that awaits us after the coronavirus. For us, that life means saving CineCiutat and turning it into the space that allows us to continue being an agent for social and cultural dynamization for the city, as well as a meeting point and collaborator of the Balearic creators. We are not alone in this vision and this is demonstrated by the almost 40 people who, since the state of alarm was declared, have continued to donate nearly 2,000 euros to the Salvem CineCiutat! campaign.

We are also pleased to announce the collaboration with one of the most interesting projects to be discovered this 2020: Majordocs, the first international documentary film festival in Mallorca. Organized by the production company Mosaic, led by Miguel Eek, this is a project with which we could not feel more united in its philosophy, "a space to discover other realities, [...] a slowed down experience [...] to reflect, ask and discuss. An unavoidable event for all those who enjoy looking without limits, discovering the unknown, and stirring their hearts".

That's why we are grateful and we are especially excited to offer the two types of rewards that the Majordocs team makes available to all those who want to support the future of CineCiutat. One of them is thought for those who simply want to enjoy some of the screenings, while its Premium version is aimed at those who want to immerse themselves in the festival experience, having access to all its screenings, galas and activities.
