    FoldaRap P2P Edition

The most interesting reward of this campaign, also probably the quickest way to have your kit!

All you need to build the lastest version of the FoldaRap, excepted the printed parts.
Find a local reprapper to add them to your kit !

(hint : with probably more than 40 000 machines in the wild, there must be one near you, or we can still have them printed separately)

We find a date that arrange everyone to invite me (for a week-end to a full week), and I personally come with my machine to help you build and learn to use the FoldaRap(s) you may have funded !

A crazy week

24 | 05 | 2013

For many reasons it is a crazy week (dare I say it while it's not yet finished!)

  • first, we almost jumped to 200% of the funding goal in less than a week, while there is still a second round of 40 days left, that mean a lot of kits and bootstrapping ! (and also a lot of work!)

  • my day job is to manage the fablab I opened in the ENSGSI school at Nancy, it was a sort of dream-job made true, but there is tons of things to do, and each year few weeks are particularly busy, like this one were the students have a CAD course in which at the end they realize a mechanical prototype in the lab. Off course they all came at the same moment because it is due for this friday ;)
But they make nice things and without knowing the inherent limits of the machines they also push them to do thing I wouldn't think we could have made ^^

All that to say sorry and thank you at all the messages I recently received about the foldarap and this campaign, I will answer to everyone, but maybe not tomorrow... because I'm going to a big festival in the south of France : the Toulouse Hackerspace Factory ! (off course with my machine along)

See you there or soon, and keep sharing !

p.s. : today the FoldaRap is celebrating it's first year of printing, hence the pictures from the last Do-It-Yourself Festival ;-)
